Weddings
When it comes to planning a wedding, most couples spend a lot of time looking for the perfect venue, deciding on a colour scheme, choosing the right flowers and tasting lots of cake (the best bit!). With all the love and thought you have put into planning your day, why have a standard “insert name here” ceremony script, when you could have a beautiful celebrant led ceremony that is unique to you.
After getting to know you over coffee and cake (or a cocktail), I will create a personalised and meaningful wedding ceremony. Whether you want your ceremony to be intimate and romantic or a big fun glorious celebration, together we can make a day that will be perfect for you. I will bring together elements such as readings, music, poems and weave them into your love story.
Funerals
The death of a loved one is always a difficult time and arranging the funeral can seem like a daunting task. I will work with you and your funeral director to create a fitting tribute that will honour the person they were. We will meet and discuss music, reading, poems and prayers. We will talk about your loved one and I will write a ceremony that is personal to them. If you would like to speak during the service, I can support you with this but if you would rather I deliver the full ceremony, I will work with you to make sure it is everything you want it to be. You will get a draft copy of the service and I can make as many changes as you need to make sure we deliver the perfect farewell.
Vow Renewals
Maybe you want to relive the magic of your wedding day or perhaps you weren’t able to have the wedding of your dreams and you’d like to do it differently. Renewing your vows is a beautiful way to reaffirm your commitment and celebrate your love in front of family and friends. You might want to mark a big anniversary, celebrate coming through a hard time together or just have fun doing it all again. Your ceremony can take place anywhere you choose, in your back garden, on the beach or at a big country house.
Naming Ceremonies
A naming ceremony is a lovely way to celebrate the birth or adoption of your child and welcome them to your family. I will work with you to create a ceremony that is personal to you. We can include readings, poems and stories. You could also incorporate symbolic rituals such as a sand ceremony to include siblings or grandparents. You can appoint Godparents/Guideparents/Supporting adults/Mentors who will make a commitment to your baby during the ceremony. We can hold it at a venue of your choice, this could be your back garden, the beach, or a country house.
Renaming Ceremonies
A renaming or trans naming ceremony gives an opportunity to reflect on your journey of discovery and celebrate a new beginning. Whether you want a small, private event or a huge gathering with friends and family, i will create a bespoke ceremony that is perfect for you.
